Scandinavian Highspeed Network

Stay Tuned

About This Project

Climate change dictates, that we should limit transport by fossil-fueled powered ways and airplane travel in particular. Simultaneously, continued globalization means that every country has to fight for economic growth and both infrastructure and international cooperation between countries have always been a big part of that.

This proposal links the capitals and major cities with electrified high-speed transportation, increasing mobility and the possibility for business growth between the like-minded countries. The network consists of two separate systems, linked together in the part of the construction areas, where they overlap. This meaning Capital Central Stations along with tunnels, bridges, and raised rail lines over terrain.

The first and most ambitious part of the system is the HyperLoop triangle between Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm. Each route is between 500km and 650km and will be able to manage around 20 hourly departures from each of the cities, in both directions. The distances between the cities are perfect for what is still and will be HyperLoop technology in its early stage and travel times will be between 30 minutes to an hour, based on the estimates from the proposed LA to SF loop.

The second part is updating current rail lines to electrified high-speed trains, with top speeds above the 350km/h mark. The system will be divided into three different routes and carry both the same routes as the HyperLoop, but with additional stops, along with extending the reach further on.

Routes proposals are as follows and will consist of 1750km combined HyperLoop and high-speed rail network, alongside 1500km only for high-speed rail.
